Evan Tierce is the chief sales officer with Baker Tilly and is responsible for sales excellence at the firm. This includes talent management, sales enablement, sales development, sales operations and technology, ensuring resources are optimized to consistently exceed organic growth targets. He has led the design, development and execution of numerous sales, business development and go-to-market strategies across multiple industry and service lines to increase new client acquisition, enhance the existing client experience and maximize revenue retention.

Evan’s background includes experience in business process outsourcing, sales function automation, incentives strategy, systems design and implementation, as well as external business development with channel partners and prospects. Evan previously served as the practice growth partner with a Houston based certified public accounting firm prior to its merging with Baker Tilly. Early in his career, Evan worked in the HR consulting industry spearheading the human capital technology division of a leading Professional Employer Organization (PEO).

  • Led the re-organization and scaling of a national sales and business development team, increasing seller productivity 250% in two years.
  • Established sales development as a core function in a professional services firm, driving significant increases in lead generation, lead conversion and qualified opportunities.
  • Acted as business case sponsor for multiple technology deployments including prospecting intelligence (ZoomInfo), sales enablement (Highspot) and others.
  • Led the selection and firmwide deployment of a standard sales methodology (Challenger) including seller training/upskilling, sales asset development and internal marketing strategy.
  • Designed and oversaw administration of multiple incentive compensation structures in collaboration with legal, finance and business unit teams.
  • Re-designed the sales and business development model to help the Houston office achieve multiple growth-related awards including the Houston Business Journal Fast 100, Inside Public Accounting Top 300 Firms and Accounting Today 100 Regional Leaders.
  • Served on the start-up leadership team and board of directors of a registered investment advisor with significantly higher than industry annual revenue growth.
  • Significant CRM, data integration and reporting systems experience with particular proficiency in Salesforce, HubSpot and Power BI.
