It’s local
Each of our offices is encouraged to give back to causes they choose. This independence diversifies the causes we support and it localizes our efforts. This allows us to give back to our own communities—the communities of our team members and amazing clients.

It’s personal
Our team members give back to causes that are most important to them. In our last fiscal year alone, Baker Tilly team members gave back thousands of hours to community involvement and H.E.R.O. time.

It’s who we are
Baker Tilly has terrific clients who do great service in the communities in which we operate. These organizations educate, care and manage. They support, protect and encourage. Our great team members give back as the best reflection of that spirit.

It’s our purpose
Baker Tilly’s commitment to stewardship gives us purpose. We are honored to support dozens of charities and organizations and thank our people for all of their extraordinary efforts to give back. Since 2010, our team members have donated tens of thousands of hours of their time in support of community involvement and charitable activities.

It’s making a difference
In the last year, we have supported causes such as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the Step Up Women’s Network (inspiring women to inspire girls), the American Heart Association, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, The American Lung Association, and the Special Olympics, among many others.

“Through Baker Tilly’s HERO program, I was able to participate in the annual Tour de Force, an annual charity cycling event benefiting the families of police officers killed in the line of duty. This year, I was among 250 cyclists for the US and other countries who rode from Ground Zero, New York to the Boston Marathon finish line. The course was challenging, but the pain of the climbing hills paled in comparison to the pain and efforts experienced by the victims of  9-11 and the responders who attempted to save them.”

We are proud to partner with Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan. Being able to help nourish communities by feeding those who are hungry, especially kids, is important to the people at Baker Tilly. We recently sponsored three events hosted by the not-for-profit that helped raise over 350,000 meals for children. While the economy shows signs of improvement, many people still need help with the basics. Our teams have worked hard to extend a helping hand and we feel great doing it.

Since 2011, the Minneapolis construction and real estate industry team has partnered with the Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity and other local companies to help build homes for those in need. Everyone gets involved, from partners to staff. It is a rewarding experience to spend time together as a team outside of work and make a difference in our community.
