WASHINGTON, DC (July 17, 2015) – The Coalition for Government Procurement (CGP) welcomes Jeff Clayton, Principal at Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly) to chair the Coalition’s new Pricing and Regulatory Compliance Oversight Committee (the PRCO).
The mission of the PRCO is to offer the procurement community a collaborative environment for developing and delivering training, analysis, information, and commentary on compliance issues.
“Contractors need a sounding board,” said Clayton. “The PRCO is a great place for contractors to come together, share information, and learn from others who have experienced issues similar to the ones that they are facing.”
As a PRCO co-chair, Clayton will serve as a strong resource for providing information to help align member companies for success. Clayton has worked with government contractors of all shapes and sizes to address compliance related issues on their GSA Schedule, VA Schedule, and other Federal Government contracts. He has helped contractors to prepare proposals and option packages, design compliance programs, prepare for and respond to government audits, navigate the mandatory disclosure program, and work with counsel in defense of suits brought under the False Claims Act.
Over 30 members participated in the PRCO’s inaugural meeting on July 16, 2015. The meeting focused on labor compliance and the different issues contractors face when managing their workforce. Jennifer Flickinger, Principal at Baker Tilly, and Trina Barlow, Partner at Crowell Moring LLP, were featured speakers. The next meeting will be held in November.
