SOUTHFIELD, Mich (April 17, 2017) - Accounting and advisory firm Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly) is pleased to announce that Partner Laurie Horvath, CPA has been named to the board of directors of Michigan’s Community Resources (MCR).
In this role, Horvath hopes to help raise the Detroit organization’s public profile. “My passion has been and continues to be working with and strengthening not-for-profits,” Horvath said. “Being selected to sit on MCR’s board is quite an honor and I look forward to acting as an advocate to promote the organization’s policies and initiatives.”
Horvath leads the not-for-profit practice in Baker Tilly’s Southfield office and has more than 20 years of experience providing auditing, accounting and consulting services. As a member of the board, Horvath will leverage her financial knowledge and provide leadership to help advance the mission and vision of MCR.
