MILWAUKEE (May 2, 2017) – Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly) is pleased to announce that Chris Fenske, partner and asset management industry leader, today received the Women of Distinction Award from the Women and Girls Fund of Waukesha County (WGF) at their annual luncheon.
This event recognizes women who exemplify continued excellence and innovation professionally and in the Waukesha County community. “Chris is an outstanding partner who demonstrates the qualities that make us proud to support her in receiving this award,” Milwaukee Office Managing Partner Wayne Morgan said.
Fenske joined Baker Tilly in 2004 and is a partner with the financial services group, specializing in serving asset management companies. She is a member of Baker Tilly’s board of partners, and is a founding member of the firm’s GROW (Growth and Retention of Women) initiative which is designed to increase the number of women in the firm’s leadership.
Fenske is actively involved in charitable organizations in greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County, including serving as the chair of ProHealth Care Foundation’s board of directors and leading fundraising efforts for the Milwaukee Art Museum, the United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County, the American Heart Association, the YMCA of Greater Waukesha County and Milwaukee Women, Inc. Fenske was also named one of the Women of Influence in 2012 by the Milwaukee Business Journal.
