PHILADELPHIA (April 28, 2016) – Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly) partner Julius Green recently received a distinguished performance in management award from Widener University’s School of Business Administration.
Green, tax partner and practice leader of exempt organization tax services, was also selected for honorary membership in Widener University’s chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS), the international honor society for the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

Green currently serves as president of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). He is the first African-American president in the 118-year history of the PICPA and is one of the accounting industry’s strongest voices on the issue of fostering diversity and inclusion in public accounting.
Green has been with Baker Tilly since 2002 and has nearly 30 years of experience working with tax-exempt organizations. He provides consultation on tax compliance and consulting matters that impact Baker Tilly’s not-for-profit, healthcare, senior living, higher education, membership organization, social club and private foundation clients.
