SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (October 17, 2016) – Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly) is pleased to announce that Partner Laurie Horvath, CPA, has been named to the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants’ (MICPA) Board of Directors for a three-year term.

Horvath is a partner and the not-for-profit and health care practice leader in Baker Tilly’s Southfield office. She has more than 20 years of experience providing auditing, accounting and consulting services to not-for-profit clients, including financial statement and compliance auditing for Uniform Guidance.
Horvath is actively involved in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Women’s Initiative Task Force and the MICPA Not-for-Profit Task Force. She is also a former member of the AICPA’s Not-for-Profit Expert Panel. Locally, Horvath also serves on the boards for Alternatives for Girls and the Oakland Integrated Healthcare Network.
