CHICAGO (November 10, 2014) – Nationally recognized accounting and advisory firm Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly) has named a new firm leader of its specialized higher education and research institutions practice: David Capitano.
Capitano leads the higher education and research institutions practice of more than 170 dedicated industry professionals serving over 200 colleges and universities across the U.S. With more than 25 years of higher education experience, he has served both public, private for-profit and not-for-profit colleges and universities with services including internal controls, internal audit, tax, financial statement reviews, financial analysis and strategy consulting. Capitano also serves as the Central Pennsylvania Office Managing Partner, and is active in several industry associations, including the Association of Governing Boards for Universities and Colleges (AGB), National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) and Eastern Association of College and Universities (EACUBO). Capitano holds a degree from King’s College and has completed advanced leadership trainings from Harvard Business School and other leadership programs.
Prior Higher Education firm leader Raina Rose Tagle will work with David in continuing her leadership of Baker Tilly’s Higher Education consulting services and also retains her firmwide leadership role for Baker Tilly’s Risk and Internal Audit Consulting practice.
