Baker Tilly Launches New Insight Center Focused on Potential Regulatory, Tax and Trade Policy Changes

Firm creates resource hub to help businesses anticipate and leverage shifting directions in federal, state and local economic policies.

CHICAGO (May 11, 2017) – Leading accounting and advisory firm Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly) today announced the launch of its Policy Insight Center – a nexus of up-to-date insights, thought leadership, webinars and events interpreting and analyzing tax and trade proposals and policies recommended or enacted by the U.S. Congress and presidential administration.

“The scope of discussed changes to U.S. trade, tax, healthcare and regulatory policies is practically unprecedented,” Managing Partner of Growth and Specialization Christine Anderson said. “Our clients are looking to stay ahead of the impact of these changes as they are proposed, evaluated and potentially enacted. The Policy Insight Center was established to help support them.”

The resource center provides thought leadership and insights related to all relevant business topics affected by governmental policy changes including financial sector regulatory changes, healthcare and the Affordable Care Act and tax reform. The Policy Insight Center includes Baker Tilly’s Center for the Return of Manufacturing (CFRM) which was specifically created to help mid-market manufacturers navigate changes related to trade and tax policy.

“As valued business advisors to our clients, it is important for us to bring them credible and current information particularly when it comes to the ever-changing healthcare reform landscape,” Baker Tilly Partner and Healthcare Practice Leader Mark Ross said. “Our healthcare reform resource center is where we interpret the news our clients need to know and explain how it will impact them.”

“We’ve always helped our clients adapt to and leverage policy changes, irrespective of political conditions and circumstances. By providing the latest information and updates and making it all clear and accessible we can ensure our clients understand and manage whatever the political changes. It is extremely important for their future and for the future health of the U.S. economy,” Anderson added.
