(September 20, 2016) – Nationally recognized accounting and advisory firm Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly) is pleased to announce that Brian Simmons CPA, J.D. has re-joined the firm as a partner on Baker Tilly Michigan’s specialty tax team. Simmons brings more than 20 years of specialized personal and business entity tax planning experience.

Prior to joining Baker Tilly, Simmons served as the chief financial officer of an independent consulting firm. He is an active member American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Michigan Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) and is a licensed attorney. He also serves on the advisory board and finance committee of The Salvation Army (Eastern Michigan Division), the board of directors of the Financial and Estate Planning Council of Metropolitan Detroit and the planned giving advisory committee of the Karmanos Cancer Institute.
