Baker Tilly Adds Louis Shiber to Healthcare Practice

Shiber brings more than 35 years of operational and public accounting consultative services concentrated in the healthcare arena.

CHICAGO (November 17, 2016) -- Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly) named Louis (Lou) Shiber as a senior manager in the firm’s healthcare practice. Shiber has over 35 years of healthcare experience specifically focused on reimbursement services for acute and post-acute care providers.

Shiber is directly involved in all aspects of cost report preparation and review for skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation hospitals, acute care hospitals, long-term acute hospitals, and hospice and home health providers. In addition to providing reimbursement impact analyses to clients, he also provides operational consulting services to senior living clients.

Shiber speaks at national and regional industry conferences related to the healthcare industry and has been published on current topics facing clients. He is involved in the LeadingAge New Jersey Public Policy Committee and is an active member in the Philadelphia Chapter of the Health Care Financial Management Association (HFMA). Shiber is also an active participant in the Pennsylvania Sub-Medical Assistance Advisory Committee (Sub-MAAC).
