Course description

This first session in our Optimizing your portfolio: A development guide for PHAs series, is designed to provide PHAs with an overview of the development lifecycle and explore the six stages of housing development.  The session covered the core competencies and other foundational components that housing agencies need to navigate the housing development process. The presenters also recommended a few tips and best practices along the way. 

Participants learned how to:

• Navigate pillars for success throughout the stages of housing development
• Incorporate best practices for development within their organization
• Assess project viability with consideration of various affordable housing programs
• Determine timelines and key milestones
