Join Baker Tilly at the HFMA New Jersey chapter’s spring education event. Our healthcare professionals will present the first session on revenue recognition.
Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 606 – revenue recognition presents major changes to the manner in which hospitals, health systems and post-acute care organizations such as continuing care retirement communities’ account for revenue. This presentation will help you better understand the objectives and requirements of ASC 606 that specifically affect your organization. Additionally, we will discuss potential implementation issues related to self-pay patients, including uninsured patients and self-pay balances arising from co-pays and deductibles. Lastly, we will discuss the portfolio approach as a practical expedient to account for patient contracts as a collective group.
