About the presenters:
Jeffrey Haynes, Director with Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP, joined the firm in 2016. Currently, he specializes in translating an organization’s strategy for their people into actionable plans for their HR technology. He assists clients in modernizing their Human Resource practices to transform their organizations through more efficient and effective human capital management. Prior to Baker Tilly, Jeffrey was VP - HCM Transformation at Oracle, assisting clients with connecting talent strategies with their business strategies and serving as a thought leader and advisor to senior HR practitioners and executives. Additionally, Jeffrey worked in both HR consulting (Mercer, Aon Hewitt) and corporate HR environments (Micron, Qwest Communications). As a result, his experience is as diverse as Telecommunications and High-tech Manufacturing, Energy and eCommerce, and Healthcare and Higher Education. He is a frequent with CUPA-HR, Educause, World at Work, SHRM, Human Capital Institute, HR.com HR Tech, OHUG, HCM World, et al. Jeffrey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a Master of Business Administration in Management from Colorado State University.
John Kiss is a senior manager in the Higher Education, Research Institution, and Risk Advisory Services practice at Baker Tilly. Over the past 12 years, he has worked with clients in many industries and has extensive experience with higher education and research institutions. Kiss has led consulting and audit engagements for colleges and universities in a broad range of areas including human resources, payroll, athletics, budget, compliance, construction, data reporting, development, facilities, financial aid, investments, procurement, risk management, and student accounts. He has presented to a variety of audiences, including the Association of College and University Auditors, various IIA chapters and regional conferences and at multiple universities. Kiss holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management and a Master of Science in Accountancy from Wake Forest University. He is a CPA, a CFE, and a Certified Strategic Workforce Planner.
