Steve Economou is a managing director with Baker Tilly Capital, LLC, the wholly-owned private investment banking subsidiary of Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP. Steve has more than 30 years of diverse corporate finance experience including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, management buyouts, venture capital and business valuations. He has completed hundreds of transactions and advisory assignments. Steve focuses on providing transaction advisory and corporate finance advisory to public and private middle market companies.

Experience

  • Assisted private holding company in completing a series of transactions resulting in one of the largest fitness equipment manufacturers
  • Assisted one of the U.S.’s largest private label juice manufacturers in a number of asset acquisitions in order to expand nationally
  • Advised rapidly growing outsourced analytical testing laboratory in sale to outsourced clinical trials company for twice typical market valuations
  • Directed efforts of a specialty materials company in simultaneously completing a merger and $13 million growth financing with venture capital and corporate venture partner
  • Advised one of the U.S.’s largest formal wear retailers in sale to a private equity firm
  • Assisted in the sale of a branded Asian specialty food manufacturer
  • Advised a rapidly growing specialty pharmaceutical contract services company in sale to a portfolio company of a leading global private equity firm
  • Directed and managed regional private equity firm’s investments in a number of management buyouts and growing technology companies
