Kate Crowley, a managing director of Baker Tilly Capital, LLC, has been with the firm since 2009. Kate has more than fifteen years of experience assisting governmental entities and businesses in securing financing for development initiatives. Kate leads the development of the firm’s negotiated credits and incentives practice to bridge the needs of project finance with government funding sources

  • Leads strategic economic planning initiatives and program review for governmental entities

  • Led negotiations for a $100 million national big box‒anchored retail development supported with Tax Increment Financing, sales tax rebates, and state and federal transportation improvement grants
  • Assisted in the financial structuring of an urban grocery store, which included New Markets Tax Credits, property tax abatement, and local grant funds available within designated food desserts
  • Assisted a municipality in establishing Tax Increment Financing and Business Improvement Districts to support reinvestment in an aging commercial district, which included a regional grocer, national big-box store and several car dealerships
  • Provided twenty-year sales tax, property tax, and tax increment projections to support municipal revenue bonds issued to provide incentive funds to a retail development consisting of twelve regional and national chain restaurants
  • Performed an economic impact analysis of a national warehouse retailer seeking municipal approvals and incentive funding through Tax Increment Financing and sales tax rebates
