Jeff Blattner, partner with Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP, has been with the firm since 2001. He specializes in construction and real estate clients. Jeff has extensive experience in audit, consulting, tax planning, and tax preparation focused on the construction and real estate industries. Jeff also specializes in evaluating construction financial controls, construction contract auditing, and financial statement audits of contractors and real estate owners.

  • Manages financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations in the construction and real estate industry
  • Manages financial statement audit and agreed-upon procedure engagements for affordable housing projects and projects utilizing historic tax credits including evaluating and documenting internal controls, working with various state and federal agencies and equity investors
  • Experience in all areas of tax preparation including corporations, partnerships, and individuals
  • Assists clients with bookkeeping services
  • Analyzes clients’ financial statements, contract schedules, and construction overhead
  • Leads performance benchmarking, financial analysis, and revenue recognition consulting engagements for construction contractors
  • Coordinates scheduling resources and deliverables on the construction and real estate industry master schedule
  • Manages cost certifications and ten percent test engagements for Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and Historic Tax Credit entities in multiple states
  • Firmwide concurring reviewer for affordable housing audit and cost certification engagements
  • Leads firmwide process improvement and template updates for real estate audit engagements
