Being a part of the Baker Tilly International network opens a gateway to opportunity abroad through our international secondment program.
A secondment is defined as a temporary transfer to another job or post within the same organization. At Baker Tilly, it’s a program that allows associates from any firm within the Baker Tilly International network to work for a member firm in another country.
The assignments vary in length including short-term (3 months), long-term (6 – 24 months), and project-based assignments with the intent to allow associates to immerse themselves in client engagements.
Associates gain a better understanding of the regulations and challenges which member firms experience along with the cultural differences of working abroad.
It’s a great learning experience, and our associates share their new knowledge with their colleagues upon returning to their “home” office. Baker Tilly International member firms actively support the international secondment program and recognize the distinct advantages it produces for both secondees and participating firms in developing and sharing their talent.
"A secondment in Amsterdam was a once–in-a-lifetime opportunity that I was able to participate in through Baker Tilly. I feel that I was able to fully immerge myself in and experience another culture while obtaining valuable experience and exposure to international reporting standards. I am so glad I had the chance to participate and would recommend it in a heartbeat!"
